GARETH MACE, Country Correspondent (Cambodia)
Gareth is currently based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia where he is working to support anti-trafficking and sustainable development efforts at two small NGOs. Prior to arriving in South-East Asia he graduated with an MSc in International Development from the University of Birmingham, undertook development work in Morocco and Bolivia, and worked with refugees and marginalised youth in the UK. ATIK AMBARWATI, Country Correspondent (Indonesia)
Currently based in Bengkulu province of Indonesia, Atik, works with a humanitarian organization focusing on disaster management. She has worked in various contexts of disaster emergencies in Indonesia—including the Aceh tsunami/earthquake 2004, Yogyakarta earthquake 2006. She also oversees several disaster risk reduction(DRR) programs—such as school-and community-based DRR. Besides, she has been serving as an Indonesian Red Cross volunteer since 1993 and as a contributor for the website of national organization of Indonesian traditional puppeteers/marionettes. ERA MENCHAVEZ-DELA PENA, Country Correspondent (The Philippines)
Era Menchavez-dela Pena has been working for more than 15 years as a development worker partner/facilitator in the local Agrarian Reform & Agriculture offices in Masbate, Philippines. She facilitates/manages at least 20 associations/organizations composed of farmers, fisher folks, youth and women. She contributes development related articles to a local community paper and in-house offices’ publications; writes proposals, designs & produces communication materials for private and government institutions.
