NOAH MARWIL, Regional Editor (Latin America)

Noah studied Environment and Economics at the University of Colorado. After graduation, he moved to Argentina to teach English and to discover, in his own words, what IT is all about. Upon his return to the US, he took a position with John Snow, Inc., an international public health consulting firm. After two and a half years supporting projects abroad from their Boston offices, he moved to La Paz, Bolivia to work directly with a program focused on maternal and child health and prevention and treatment of infectious disease. VICTORIA LUCY PEEL YATES, Country Correspondent (Argentina)

Victoria is a recent Msc Development Studies graduate, fluent in Spanish, French and English with a special interest in Argentina having lived and studied in the country. Victoria is a committed and passionate development professional and is currently kick starting her career through NGO work in Burundi, although her return to Latin America is imminent. DR. LYKKE E. ANDERSEN, Country Correspondent (Bolivia)

Dr. Lykke E. Andersen has been conducting development research in Latin America for more than 15 years. She is President of the Institute for Advanced Development Studies in La Paz, Bolivia, and publishes the Monday Morning Development Newsletter. Since her Ph.D. research on The Dynamics of Deforestation and Economic Growth in the Brazilian Amazon, she has been particularly interested in the relationships between human development and environmental conservation. MARITA HAUG, Country Correspondent (Brazil)

Marita’s interest in the developing world has brought her to African, Asian and Latin American hinterlands to the front of UN delegates in New York. As a young and passionate development worker, she has been working as a Board Member in the official Board of Directors in Plan Norway since 2009. Prior to this, she has worked and volunteered in different parts of the world. She also cooperated with the UN Secretary General´s Climate Change Team and UNDP to make a forum for youth and climate in 2009. Marita can be reached at marita.haug@hotmail.com

ROBIN SMITH, Regional Correspondent (Central America)

Robin is currently the Country Director for Pencils of Promise in Nicaragua and has lived in Central America since 2008. She has worked as a teacher, and Executive Director for a Maya women weaver’s Foundation, and as a financial consultant to more than 20 businesses combined in the United States and Guatemala. She holds a BA with Honors in Political Science with a concentration in Latin American Politics and Gender Studies from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She has worked with several social commentary publications and newspapers in North Carolina and abroad as an editor and contributing writer, and has had several short stories and poems published in Ascent Aspirations and The Blotter.
She currently lives in Matagalpa, Nicaragua.
