EDVIN ARNBY MACHATA, Regional Editor (West Africa)

Edvin is currently finishing his Masters in Violence, Conflict & Development at the School of Oriental & African Studies, University of London. His main interests are in conflict, state building and industrial policy, as well as how these themes fit into the global political economy. He has family ties to West Africa and development experience from Centre for Sustainable Energy for Life in the Sahel (CSELS), Swedepeace and The Student Initiative. He holds a BSc in Peace & Conflict Research from Uppsala University and has previously also studied International Relations & History at Istanbul Bilgi University. HANNAH MARTIN, Country Correspondent (Ghana)

After receiving a first class bachelor’s degree in Physics and the Universe from Reading University, UK in 2008, Hannah moved to Leeds as a Volunteer Youth and Student Worker for the NGO Christian Aid in Yorkshire. During this time she visited the Democratic Republic of Congo with Christian Aid and wrote articles for their youth website Ctrl.Alt.Shift. Since then she has worked for Christian Aid in a Corporate Affairs and in their International Department. She has now taken up a role with Voluntary Services Overseas as a Community Advocacy Support Officer in Bolgatanga, north east Ghana. Hannah can be reached at hannah9.martin@btinternet.com

SAMUEL ADIKPE, Country Correspondent (Nigeria)

Samuel Adikpe holds a Master of Science degree in Mass Communications from the University of Lagos (1995). His work experience in the last 16 years cut across the media, corporate sector as well as the civil society. In addition, he founded a youth-serving NGO called Youth Vision Plus. He is presently the registrar of Certified Institute of Development Studies, Nigeria’s pioneer think tank and development studies institute.
