LINGSON ADAM, Regional Editor (East Africa)
Lingson Adam has over 10 years experience in the development field in Tanzania as school teacher, community mobilizer, policy analyst and journalist. He has worked with communities, local governments, national civil society and international non-governmental organizations in Tanzania. He holds a Master’s degree in Education and International Development from the University of London. In addition, he has worked as freelance news reporter, feature writer, stringer, and sub-editor for a number of media houses in Tanzania and abroad since1998. JAMES BELGRAVE, Country Correspondent (Burundi)
Having studied in Italy, the UK and Argentina, James Belgrave completed his studies with an MA in Development from IDS at Sussex (UK). Working on Sustainability and CSR in London pushed him South, where he now works within the United Nations system in Burundi. Specialising in Communications for Development, James has experience in Disaster Risk Reduction, climate change and the environment, food security, land and agricultural issues, as well as a variety of conflict and post-conflict humanitarian issues. ALPHONCE GARI, Country Correspondent (Kenya)
A former student of Mass Communications at the Kenya College of Communications, Alphonce has several years of experience of working at different African media houses such as Malindi Bureau, Baraka Fm Radio and recently as a correspondent for Radio Africa group. He has been writing news, features and doing live coverage on many social issues affecting the society, ranging from child exploitation, tourism, drugs, environment, crime, poverty to education, HIV/AIDS and sexual exploitations. MOSES C MASAMI, Country Correspondent (Tanzania)
Moses C Masami is an independent human rights activists currently working as a Judge’s legal assistant at the High Court of Tanzania. He is also a screenwriter with special emphasis on social films. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) and has worked as a teacher and as the head of writing department in a local film production house in Tanzania. KIMBOWA RICHARD, Country Correspondent (Uganda)
Kimbowa Richard is a development manager with more than 10 years of experience in Uganda and also working with partners in Kenya and Tanzania. He holds a Master’s degree in Development Management (Open University – UK) and has been working with Civil Society Organisations in different capacities ranging from training communities to being a regional facilitator (East Africa) for an advocacy project (working on a transboundary resource – Lake Victoria) on issues related to sustainable agriculture, energy forestry and environment conservation / sustainability issues. Currently he is the Programme Manager for Uganda Coalition for Sustainable Development (UCSD), where he is one of the editors of the monthly UCSD’s E-bulletin.
